He becomes so much like an animal, obsessed with the hunt, that he cares about nothing else. He also begins to walk on all fours in one part of the book. He is cruel and only cares about himself. This shows he's an animal. We all hate Jack.

Lord of the Flies documents the progression of "innocent" boys into savagery.
You need to read the chapters. Wiki won't help you cheat.
In chapter 4: Painted Faces and Long Hair Jack paints his face with red and white clay and adds some black charcoal lines. He looks at his own reflection in a coconut shell filled with water and, I quote... 'He looked in astonishment, no longer at himself but at an awesome stranger. He spilt the water and leapt to his feet, laughing excitedly. Beside the mere, his sinewy body held up a mask that drew their eyes and appalled them. He began to dance and his laughter became a bloodthirsty snarling. He capered towards Bill and the mask was a thing on its own, behind which Jack hid, liberated from shame and self-consciousness. The red and white and black, swung through the air and jigged towards Bill. Bill started up laughing; then suddenly he fell silent and blundered away through the bushes.
The boys are savages, so they don't control the flies. Also, the lord of the flies is far away from castle rock, so they don't have to deal with it.
This scene symbolizes Jack fully embracing his primal instincts and descending into savagery. His laughter turning into a bloodthirsty snarl represents his transformation into a ruthless and violent leader, devoid of compassion and morality. It highlights the theme of the loss of civilization and the triumph of barbarism on the deserted island.
The bloodthirsty chant in "Lord of the Flies" is "Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood!" It reflects the boys' growing savagery and descent into barbarism on the island.

Not really. Flies can lay their larvi in the dead animal. The larvi grow and become adult flies. The flies fly out of the dead animal. That may be what you're seeing....
KILL THE BEAST. CUT HER THROAT. SPILL HER BLOOD. They chant that every time they hunt or even get bloodthirsty. For example, they chant that when they attack Simon and hunt Ralph.
