Jack needs the power of the beast in a couple of ways: as a common enemy for the boys to unite them; as a way to gain respect and to manipulate others as well as to satisfy his hunger for power; and as an excuse for hunting perhaps.

Jack sort of became the spokesperson in the previous few chapters. He give offerings to it, tell others to leave it alone on 'the other side'. He is trying to make it more real for the others.

Jack himself does not believe in the physical beast but is closer to the true beast- the capacity for evil in everyone, then everyone, even Simon. He is not afraid of it, as no one would use things they are uncertain or afraid of. if the beast is dead, he will loose power.

Therefore even though he consciously recognize the murder of Simon though he hides it from the others. No one could stop him from using the beast now that Simon has died. He could make the beast immortal.

Because the beast can change into any form, like Simon, and that he will come back as something or someone else

1. In the back of his mind, Jack realizes that it was not the beast that they saw the previous night, but that it was actually Simon. It is important to Jack that the beast is alive because otherwise it would mean that he murdered Simon. Additionally, the beast is what holds his society together, as they respect him only because he can protect them from the beast.

The Beast represents the inherant fear in humanity of something out there that will harm us - like, for instance, the Devil. Jack encourages belief in the Beast to keep his position as 'protector', another way of saying he wants to be 'God'

Because telling every body the Beast is dead, is admitting that there is nothing to fear anymore, therefore he won't have a reason to protect them.

Who says that there isn't a beast in Lord of the Flies?

Both Piggy and Simon deny the existence of a physical "beast" on the island. However, Simon believes that though not physical, there is a beast. Such a beast is the one that is inside all of the boys, and is inside all those of humans. The innate evil of mankind.

What is the signifiance of the title to the theme of the novel 'Lord of the Flies' by William Golding?

The title "Lord of the Flies" refers to the translation of the name Beelzebub, a Philistine god associated with demons and fallen angels. In the novel, it symbolizes the inherent evil and savagery within human nature that emerges when societal norms and rules are stripped away, leading to chaos and destruction among the boys stranded on the island. The boys' descent into barbarity underscores Golding's exploration of the dark side of human nature and the capacity for cruelty that lurks within us all.

What girls really want?

Guys may want to deny it, but what girls really want is a giant schlong. If your not hung like a horse, you might as well go on and let some random guy jack you off, take your semen, and artificially inseminate a girl, just like a horse does. Because that's the closest youl ever get to making the beast with two backs.

Can an apartment manager deny an application of one of two prospective tenants who intend to share an apartment?

If Jack and Jill wish to rent an apartment, the manager has the right to deny Jack's application and to only accept Jill's. Then the manager can, at his discretion, rent the apartment only to Jill. So, only Jill's name shall appear on the lease. However, Jill can then bring in Jack as a roomate and the manager can do nothing about it. Jack can live there with Jill as long as they please (legally). However, the manager shall never be obligated to add Jack's name to the lease (under current law).
