It was only inevitable that Piggy was overpowered and gang raped by the other boys on the island. Thus, resulting in Piggy going insane, or checking out mentally for the rest of the story.
Ralph undergoes a change, this change is that he becomes more savage and more pumped up from the hunt, therefor his change has become that of a normal, lovely boy, into a savige, hostile boy.
