People have different perspectives for Harry Potter, my mine would be: Harry potter is a series of books and movies about a famous kid-wizard and his adventures at Hogwarts (magical school for witches and wizards). He makes friends and learns spells, but also finds out that voldemort, the evil wizard, is after him
The Dursley's prefer not to talk about Harry if they can avoid it. When they do talk about him, they often make up lies - telling people he is disturbed or attends a special school for his poor behaviour. They frequently insult his parents, his looks and his magical abilities.
In the latter books, Dudley and to a lesser extent Petunia, stop insulting him and Dudley even tries to be nice to him.
