The Killer's lead singer Brandon Flowers is a practicing member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" Church). He has told reporters several times that his religion is "very important" to him. His wife converted to the church shortly before they were married, and his oldest son, Ammon, is named after a Book of Mormon Prophet.
An article from the Salt Lake Tribune (see the "Related Link" below) says that when the band passed through the Midwest on tour in 2009, he had the bus driver bring them to see some of the Mormon historic sites in Nauvoo, Illinois.
Brandon Flowers recently made a video profile on Mormon.org, check it out at the "Related Link" below.

AnswerBrandon Flowers' political persuations are unknown, however there is much indication that he is more conservative or more Republican. He has previously made statements in support of former President George W. Bush and Senator John McCain, while also making both positive and negative statements regarding President Obama. Brandon Flowers' is a Mormon, a very conservative Christian faith, that has supported Republican presidential candidates routinely with 70-89% of the vote. Brandon Flowers' is also from Nevada, where Mormons tend to lean Republican, but also have supported two of the states only Mormon senators, with the present being Democrat Harry Reid. Nevada, his home state, is also a state that leans Republican in both local, state, and federal elections. Brandon Flowers and the rest of his band members do not enjoy discussing politics in public, which is unusual for celebrities, which leads many to believe that the band has conservative or libertarian leanings, in tradition with their state of Nevada.
