As of 2010, an imax cinema cost to build approximately 4.2 million dollars. Being so, if you worked at McDonalds for minimum wage at $8 an hour, it would take you about 254 years, without spending a penny, to afford to build an imax cinema.

True to the game part two how much does it cost
The Price for AMC movie tickets are $4-$6, depending on what age you are.
It doesn't really matter but Imax has better audio quality? __________________________________________________________________ It will depend whether or not the IMAX movie is an actual IMAX movie, projected from horizontal 70mm film, or just a 35mm or digital projection blown up to the IMAX screen size. Most of the IMAX 3D blockbuster movies you see (Harry Potter, Tron etc.) are not shot with IMAX cameras. Some movies, such as The Dark Knight, mix scenes shot with IMAX cameras with 35mm cameras. The larger film stock (4 times the size of a standard film frame) allows much greater detail, and will look better as a 3D movie as well. The sound is digital disc playback, and usually has the same quality as other 35mm movies. When IMAX was first introduced, it had much better sound quality than other movies houses, but now most theaters have the same quality sound.
If you get to the AMC theater in enough time before the movie starts you will not have trouble finding a seat. And AMC does not reserve seats.
The American Movie Channel (AMC) is usually only available on cable, broadband, satellite, etc.
IMAX is a film corporation that distributes 15/70 mm films, which are larger than the movies distributed at your local theatre. This allows the films to be projected at a much larger level than that of a regular theatre. Usually, an IMAX theatre fills the almost the entire wall with the screen, instead of just a fraction of the wall. An IMAX Dome theatre is where you sit in the middle, and the picture is projected all around you.The bulb that is used to project the movie is also unlike that of a standard movie theatre. The projection bulb is a super bright Xenon Bulb which is 15,000 watts.
a amc guest first pass lets you see any amc movie no matter the cost even imax. except vip suits
There is no product on the current market that is labelled with or contains the number AMC 30. AMC 30, however, can refer to the AMC Studio 30 Movie Theaters that are located in towns such as Olathe and Mesquite. These theaters feature IMAX and dine in theaters.
An AMC Gold Experience ticket is a movie pass that allows you to go in and see any AMC movie - valid for one person per Gold ticket. However, surcharges may apply for special events and for enhanced movie experiences, such as RealD 3D, IMAX, and ETX films. Please contact your local theatre for specific details.
Any that support Imax. AMC is the theater I went to.
IMAX is better than a regular movie theatre because of the size of the screen. The IMAX screen usually spans from wall to wall, unlike traditional screens that are mounted in the center of the room. The light used to project an IMAX film is a super bright 15,000 watt Xenon Bulb, which allows for a better, stronger, clearer picture with a higher rate of contrast. IMAX has special Sound Engenieers or Audio Engineers who specify in creating speakers with a more powerful output in addition to crystal quality sound. In addition, IMAX theatres are in general, of a much better quality, because of the standards that they have to abide by, set forth by IMAX corporation. IMAX tells the theatres which movies to play, how to show them, etc.
iMax basically is a large scale movie theater.
AMC Gold tickets cover the price of a ticket for a standard showing. They may be used for 3d or IMAX movies, but with a surcharge.
Having worked in the cine industry as an engineer, this is my understanding of how cine camera works. In general the technology adopted in still camera and motion picture camera are very similar. Unlike a still camera where the film is discretely moved (manually or auto advanced) between each click (to shoot a picture), in a motion camera, the film moves at 24 frames per second while capturing the picture (the shutter being open continuously) unless manually shut by the camera man. Thus what is being picturized will be exposed in the film frame by frame. (This is very similar to tape recording process). That reel (of exposed) film with picturization is washed and developed for the film negative. From the negative, film positive will be made (similar to photo printing - photos are positives on paper base while it will be on the film base). This picture positive film is played back on the theater projector (film moving at 24 frames per second) - to give an illusion of continuous action! Hope this gives an idea (I may not have given a complete detail of the process - it is just a high level overview! Thanks Ram (Fremont)
