I am not sure about this...but I heard that they have accounts set up for the children not the mom's. The show is about portraying the life and struggles for teen mom's and most of the mom's have financial problems (especially Farrah) and it wouldn't show the true life of teen mom's if MTV were paying them.

Best estimates state anywhere from 2,000 an episode to 10,000 an episode. After searching online it doesn't appear that MTV is willing to give that information away without some fight. Also, estimates say that the girls won't see this money until after the show in order to keep the reality of financial hardship for teen mothers actually real (good job MTV for a REALity show!).

There is no public information on how much the cast of Teen Mom is paid for being on the reality TV show. Most reality TV participants say the pay per episode is not a huge sum. In some cases. families that have been on one time Reality TV Shows were paid one thousand dollars for one week of shooting.
