According to IMDB, of the 254 episodes of Bewitched, 14 of them did not feature Dick York or Sargeant. Of the 14, 9 occurred during season five. One before Dick York was hospitalized, and the remaining 8 after he had quit the show and before the arrival of his replacement. These episodes tended to focus heavily on Samantha's cousin Serena (also played by Elizabeth Montgomery) and her daughter Tabitha. The shows generally explained Darrin's absence due to a business trip. These shows suffered in quality as there was no suitable foil for Sam - instrumental to the essence of the show. I do not know when the other five Darren-less shows occurred.
