It might last acouple of years, I have one and it lasted for 1 year and then today it broke :( some how the top part of the roatating thing fell off :( I would suggest you get the GHD it workes REALLY well! :)

you hold the instyler then take a 1-2 inch section of hair how ever much hair needed (small section for tight curls, big sections for looser curls) then take the hair and wrap it around the rotating part of the instyler....then close the instyler for about 20-30 seconds the open it and TA-DA
