"Tag", the "a" sounding like bag, since the name is French Swiss not German Swiss (therefore is not like saying "day" in German which is pronounced tog, the "o" being pronounced like log).

"Heuer" is pronounced Hoy'-É™ the vowels being pronounced similarly to boy'-uh (the first syllable being stressed).

It's is much easier than it seems and much easier than people have made it out to be.

Eduoard Heuer may have very well had German ancestry but his first name is French and his company was in the French speaking Swiss Valley of Joux. He didn't even start TAG Heuer he started Heuer which became TAG which is short for Techniques d'Avant Garde, again French (TAG is a company out of Luxembourg) not German. So although tag does mean "day" in German there is no connection to anything German in this part of the company's name. Also, Heuer does mean "this year" in German it doesn't have any bearing on how his name is pronounced now. Just as the American or English name Smith is pronounced "smith" as we know it to be and not smythe or whatever we can trace the word back to, Norman or Anglo.

In the end context, or in this case etymology, is everything.
