How does music communicate with people?

Music is, sort of, a form of Psychology. People listen to music for many different reasons. EG, If your mad you would probably listen to hard, heavy songs, like Helter Skelter, or Stricken. If your sad you would probably listen to light, mellow songs, like Angel.

every person comprehends it differently. the mood of the tune and/or words has a lot to do with this, especially if it pertains similarly to the listener's circumstances. Sometimes music will even change your mood due to things like an upbeat rhythm, or a sad reminder of something you have forgotten, or the same with a happy reminder, etc. Some people will contemplate the words in the lyrics differently and understand their true meaning, more or less.

people that have minds wired for fractions will sometimes feel some type of astonishment if they can see how everything fits together perfectly, or imperfectly yet still sounds pretty unique and cool. Your favorite type of music is usually music that you can understand better, hence the theory that people of higher intellect tend to have more variety in music choice.
