On rare occasions War or other historical films can provide an insight on material that may be studied in school, this could apply to other history-based hobbies such as modelling, reading books about various subjects, etc. Unfortunately even most Historical movies distort facts, often factor in gratuitous ( over charged) violence that might not be appropriate and so on. They frequently distort facts and exaggerate individual roles in certain campaigns, etc. There is some pay dirt in there but way too much Trap Rock, pick at your risk.
