On rare occasions War or other historical films can provide an insight on material that may be studied in school, this could apply to other history-based hobbies such as modelling, reading books about various subjects, etc. Unfortunately even most Historical movies distort facts, often factor in gratuitous ( over charged) violence that might not be appropriate and so on.
