he died from many bad wounds a little while after the battle of five armys and also fili and kili die protecting him.and don't forget to watch The Hobbit an unexpected journey,desolation of smaug and there and back again.
Thorin dies from many wounds from the goblins. He fought bravely and Kili and Fili fell by his side. Beorn carried him to safety after he fell. He lingered long enough to forgive Bilbo and restore his share of the treasure. He was buried under the mountain with the Arkenstone.
He is wounded in The Battle of Five Armies, and passes away shortly after. Rather peacefully, I might add.
