When Jack walks out of the meeting declaring that he isn't going to play anymore other boys start to drift away and join him. He organises a hunt, kills a pig and then realises that he needs a fire in order to cook it. Later Jack and four of his 'tribe' visit Ralph's camp. Two unidentified members of Jack's tribe grab burning branches from the fire and run off along the beach with them. Jack, accompanied by Maurice and Robert, delivers a rehearsed speech inviting the boys in Ralph's camp to attend a feast which he will be having later on the beach.

In "Lord of the Flies," Ralph tries to make Jack feel better about losing the leadership role to him by allowing him to be in charge of the Choir Boys. Ultimately, this is a mistake, because it immediately separated boys who would loyal to Jack rather than him in the group.
piggy is the one with the glasses to make the fire. he also has some brains
In chapter 10: the Shell and the Glasses Jack selected Roger and Maurice to accompany him on his raid to 'get fire' from Ralph's group, in fact they stole Piggy's glasses
I presume that you are referring to the start of chapter 3: Huts on the beach where Jack is alone in the forest. The answer is that Jack is trying to hunt pigs.
Well in chapter 10 Jack and his tribe of savages invade Ralph's tribe (made of up Ralph, Sam and Eric, Piggy, and one/two littluns) in order to steal Piggy's glasses, which is overall the power to start a fire on the island. Jack might have mentioned this plan in chapter 9 so I'm hoping this is the right answer to your question.
