Qi Gong (chi-gung) is a training that teaches you complete connection between mind and body. It uses the principle that qi (chi) energy is the biological connection between all the cells, organs, muscles, etc. of the body, and that by becoming aware of this internal energy, you can become aware of the intricate activities of the body.

There are many systems of qi-gong (chi-gung), each with a particular focus. Animal exercises (now called, "Zookinesis") is a very active system and incorporates these principles into vigorous activity for use in dance, Martial Arts and sport. A seated version is used as an exercise for seniors. Wild Goose, Eight Brocade and others are other systems and there are also fixed postures such as the Universal Post.

As for the Empty Force, this usually refers to the condition of mind and body when freed from all habits and excess tensions that normally control us. When freed from internal battles and when the mind and body are completely connected, then any activity is done very efficiently and with minimal effort. Life becomes less stressful and joyful.

In the martial arts, you can make the smallest movements for the maximum effect. Power emanates explosively as a sequential expansion of the joints, from floor to strike.
