If you're looking to sell your own (or your band's) material, you can simply have the albums pressed onto your format of choice (CD, vinyl, etc.) and then you have an array of options. You can sell them through websites such as Ebay or GEMM, you can sell them by way of your band's Myspace page, and you can tell them at the venues you play at.
You could also start your own record label.
If you wanted to sell albums by other bands, you would need to set up a storefront of some sort (such as Ebay Stores, Half.com by Ebay, GEMM, or even your own website, complete with shopping cart) and purchase the albums you wish to sell wholesale from the labels. This may require a bit of clever 'wheeling and dealing' on your part.
