After Hidan killed shikamaru's sensei, asuma, Shika wanted to take revenge, so he built a trap and led hidan there, once they were there, shika pulled a couple strings and hidan was tied up hanging from the trees, ( not from the neck) but bellow him was a big pit. once shika lit asuma's lighter and set the paper bombs off ( the paper bombs were attached to the strings that hidan was connected to) Hidan blew up and his scatterd body parts layed in the pit bellow. After a few last words between shika and hidan, shika lit the finnaly bomb and hidan was buried alive after rocks had fallen on him, hidan is immortal, but he can only stay immortal as long as he sacrifices to his god, which being blown apart, he could not do. So hidan grew weak, and is now concederd dead
