Little did Foxface know that the berries were poisonous. Katniss and Peeta were also unaware until they noticed the slice of cheese and berries missing, and cannon going off.
Foxface does not get killed, instead, she commits suicide. The host of the games thought she was “boring” because she did not kill anyone. So she has two choices, get brutally killed by someone in the arena, or She can commit a peaceful, fast, suicide. So indeed, she chose suicide to cause her family less pain and to make the hosts happy.
