What happened to Doris Stokes family Terry and John in the years after she passed on?
When Doris died her ashes were scattered around a rose bush named after her which came into bloom on the week of her birthday.John started on his own as a healer whilst living at Grove park London,Terry had a haulage business until he went Bankrupt and lost everything.After the death of their beloved dog boots john died and the funeral was at the local church that John often went to on a Sunday afternoon.His ashes were also put round the Doris Stokes rose in the family home.After Johns death it became hard for Terry to carry on working as he named all of his vehicles after his family The Duchess,Boots and Little john. He died 4 years later and his funeral was paid for by the state.His ashes were also put round the rose and to the best of my knowledge is still there. I know this to be true as Doris Stokes was my Granddads Cousin and he is mentioned in Doris's first book and i worked for Terry and John at there home in Grove park London.
