Stevie Ray Vaughan had a premonition of his death the night of Aug 25, 1990. The helicopter went down after midnight on the 27th, four years to the day after the death of his father. His last performance was at Alpine Valley Music Theater near East Troy, WI doing a 20 minute version of Sweet Home Chicago (where he was headed to). He opted out of the 2-hour to Chicago with his brother (Jimmie) and sister-in-law, Connie, when he found there was one seat left. Wanted to get back to Janus.
