After the earthquake there was neighborhood fire going through the heights and Cassie asked Charles to go get her sketch book from the attic. The earthquake made a hole in part of the attic wall and when Charles picked up the sketch book he saw the money in the wall....(at the beginning of season 3 there was a girl named Cydelle "Cyd" Glass and her family used to live there.
