Because Anakin lost his mother several years before and was angry about it. Then he discovered his secret wife, Padme, was pregnant. Next, he had some nightmares about his wife dying in childbirth and he wanted to find a way to stop it from happening. THEN, Palpatine manipulated Anakin to think that the dark side could save his wife from "certain death." After Anakin turns to the dark side, it doesn't help when Padme confronts him and tries to turn him back to the light. In his rage, he force chokes and kills Padme.
Because he was seduced by the Dark Side.
More specifically, he was seduced by the power of the darkside.
Also, he did it to save his love, Padme, thinking he could stop her from dying, when in the end, his choice only killed her.
He touched the Dark Side too much, as well.
One example is when he killed a whole camp of Tusken Raiders, when his mother died.
He didn't stop the rage, the un Jedi like rage.
Sith feed off fear, and anger, and hate...
Anakin had a dream about Padme, his wife, dying and he wanted to save her. He discussed it with the Chancellor, who was really the evil Sith Lord named Darth Sidious, and he told Anakin that there was this special power that could save Padme, but it could be only be done by a Sith. So all that evil stuff such as Order 66 happended and Anakin became Darth Vader. Padme died anyways because Anakin choked her and she died in the sense of Anakin's sudden evilness.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is Anakin's Master. He is also a father- figure to Anakin that he never had. As Anakin grew older and became a Knight, Obi-wan served as a friend and someone who was always there for him, no matter what. Ultimately it was Obi-wan who saved Anakin from himself, by training his son Luke. Luke would later destroy the Emperor; DarthVader's ( Anakin's) master and rescue his father from the dark side of the Force.
In The Phantom Menace, Anakin was played by Jake Lloyd. In Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith and the 2004 special edition re-release of Return of the Jedi, Anakin was played by Hayden Christensen. In the TV show Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Anakin is voiced by Matt Lanter. When Return of the Jedi was first released, Anakin (Darth Vader unmasked) was played by Sebastian Shaw (RIP)
No. Robin does turn into Nightwing, but not because he is bad. Nightwing is still an ally of Batman.
Anakin Skywalker
Darth Vader, formerly Anakin Skywalker. Anakin Skywalker was born on Tatooine. He had no Father. Anakin was raised by his mother, Shmi Skywalker. When he was 9 years old, Qui-Gon Jin gambled for him from Anakin's master. He was raised as a Jedi, and fell in love with and married Padme Amidala, Former Queen and Senator of Naboo. They had a secret marriage, and she became pregnant with Luke and Leia Skywalker. She died when she had them, and Obi-Wan Kenobi took them to Anakin's Step-brother and Step-sister-in-law, because Anakin turned to the Dark side.
Even though Anakin was 19 in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, if you look on Wookieepedia, it says that Anakin was actually a few weeks away from his 20th birthday during that timeframe.
no he was just angry
It is in fact Anakin Skywalker (Luke's father) who turns into Darth Vader. Anakin begins his turn to the darkside when he finds that his mother has been killed and he takes revenge on those who murdered her. Anakin's conversion to the darkside is completed when the emperor tells Anakin that he has killed the woman he loves (Padmé) and Anakin is consumed by guilt and anger.
