Most TV programs are aired more than once, and some have been aired countless hundreds or thousands of times. There are TV programs even from the 1950's, such as Leave It To Beaver or I Love Lucy which are still being re-broadcast, as much as 60 years after their original broadcast. So, the show you missed may come back. But even if it doesn't, you may be able to buy it on DVD. Many popular TV shows are released on DVD.

Usually , they air the show that you missed again on cable. They mostly air it when they are not running a new season.

Otherwise you can sometimes watch it on the Internet.
