The two most common ways to make a slide show are using

1. Windows Movie Maker

open all the pictures that you want into windows movie maker, and then put them in the order that suits you, you can now set how long between each picture, special effect and transitions between each side, and you can also add music.

2. use Microsoft office PowerPoint, this is a much more professional approach, but yet it is even easier than movie maker, you can add music or sound, Go to insert, go on sound, then underneath put record sound, you can personalize your slide show in different ways, for example you can add text to each slide, you can manually control when each new slide appears by the click of a button, and the file you save as PowerPoint presentation is a lot smaller than a windows movie maker file, and again you will find great tutorials on this on YouTube.
