Firstly, after his last album "Encore" Eminem started to promote other rappers (Bobby Creekwater, Stat Quo and Cashis.) he did this by producing and appearing in the album "Eminem Presents: The Re-up. Though the album was not intended to promote himself, he still was present almost all of the songs. this album was released in 2006. "No Apolgies" was a full track of him rapping. the album also included "Jimmy Crack Corn" which contianed Eminem & 50 Cent rapping. In 2007, the song "Smack That" by Akon was number one in the charts for almost 11 weeks. This featured Eminem rapping in the second verse. 2008 December: Eminem announces he will be releasing an album "Relapse" in early 2009. 2009 Febuary: Song "Crack A Bottle" is released and reaches #4 in charts. So in conclusion, Eminem never "left rapping". His best friend, Proof (a superb rapper) tragically died. He was recovering for a while and recorded privatley for a couple months. he took a little break and now he will be back into the limelight.
