Yes, he does in episode 6 because he was getting to old and he wanted to see Luke Skywalker, his son with his own eyes, so Luke took off Vader's mask, which didn't alow Vader to breath in which killing him.

He did, but they will use the actor as the same character in flashback scenes to show why he and his son did not get along and they may use him as a ghost or a "jedi" type spirit in the next Star Wars. That's what I would do if I was the writer or director.. 69 year old big fan.
