Yes, he used to back when "They're only Chasing Safety" was the band's current cd(2004-2005), and he probably did during the "Define the Great Line" phase (2006, 2007). Spencer does NOT anymore though. He changes his look often for the sake of his live shows. During the "Lost in the Sound of Separation" phase(2008,2009) his hair had dreadlocks in it and currently still does in 2010, so, obviously he does not straighten it anymore, and as far as we know, he is currently into dreadlocks. Will he still use dreadlocks for the upcoming 2010 album? Possibly.
