Slayer is not a Satanist band. Tom Araya is a Catholic and still practices his religion. Kerry King is an atheist/agnostic who writes some anti-religious lyrics that Tom has no issue singing. From an interview with Rolling Stone he stated that he doesn't look at Kerry's music like it offends him. He looks for music that will consistently anger and entice the crowd. Many songs are also written about murderers like Dead Skin Mask. The infamous Reign In Blood was written with the Holocaust in mind.

No. Tom Araya is Roman Catholic. Kerry King was a long time atheist but after Jeff Hanneman died in 2013, he converted to Christianity.
