In episodes that flashback to when Marge and Homer were going out he had hair, but every time Marge told Homer that she was pregnant he would yank his hair out. Today he is only seen with three strains of hair. two on top of his head and one at the side his ear and the hair at the side of his head make a "M" and a "G" for Matt Groening The Simpsons creator. In one episode he bought a formula that made his hair grow but Bart used it all trying to grow a mustache because he thought he will be popular and it would look cool.
because hes bold. or maybe because in that episode he was like really stressed about Marge being pregnant so he pulled his hair and went crazy! It is called baldness which happens to a lot of men and a few women later in life, and to some people like Homer Simpson earlier in life. If you have seen the flashbacks of Homer in his teens/twenties, you will notice that he had a full head of hair then.
Since Marge has blue hair & Homer has brown, Bart, Lisa & Maggie's hair color is a result of a recessive blonde gene from Homer & Marge.
Abraham J. "Abe" Simpson is Homer J. Simpson's father.
