According, to the movie, no, thay dost not exist. But it so happens, they are incorrect. For example The Quileute Tribe is real and yes they do live in La Push, Washington and yes they believe they are descended from Wolves but no the Cold Ones aren't a real legend. Stephenie stated that she only made this up to fit in with the whole Vampire storyline.

∙ 12y agoNo one knows for sure. In Stephanie's books - twilight - she does talk about them but no one knows if they are really real. It might seem wonderful to be able to live forever, but that's not a life. In twilight Bella wants to be one, just to be with Edward forever, I think Edward made a good choice on wait until that moment. But being a cold one does have it's ups and it's down - your frozen, your can only drink brood, you would be a monster, and people are not suppose to live forever. I'm not saying it's bad. But it's not a life.
