Yes, Buddy Strait was found dead this morning. I am related to one of his children. Thay are very much grieving the loss. They think it was a heart attack. He will be very missed and was a wonderful man! Buddy passed away of an apparent heart attack I'm Boerne Texas. He is survived by his wife Denise and 4 children & quite a few grandchildren! My daughter goes to school with Walker Strait and he phoned a mutual friend of both of their's today and said his dad, Buddy Strait, was in a hotel in Boerne, TX and was fine yesterday and was found dead either last night or this morning - not sure on the exact details. Walker was on his way to San Antonio today. They are saying Buddy's death was from natural causes and they will be performing an autopsy tomorrow.
Please remember the Strait family in your thoughts and prayers. As of 5/19/2009 the autopsy was released. He died at one of the La Quinta Hotels in San Antonio,Texas of an accidental methadone over dose. Methadone can treat either heroin addiction or the pain from Diabetes.
