When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary When troubles come and my heart burdened be Then I am still and wait here in the silence Until you come and sit awhile with me You raise me up so I can stand on mountains You raise me up to walk on stormy seas I am strong when I am on your shoulders You raise me up to more than I can be He dedicates it to his parents.

You raise or lower the anchor by pressing the spacebar. You can use this to stop suddenly while travelling rapidly at sea. When departing an island, you click "sail" and then also raise the anchor with the spacebar.
You don't. I think you're thinking of Sunshine Island Hon.
When you have the raft, use the cursor to steer and move, following the map from island to island. When leaving an island, press the spacebar to raise the anchor. When docking at an island, press the spacebar to drop the anchor. You can also drop and raise the anchor anywhere you want to stop at sea, but you become an easier target for attacks.

Rhode Island may be a small state, the smallest to be specific; but it's big on history. It is located in the northeastern region, and is one of the original 13 states. To its west is Connecticut. To its' north and east is Massachusetts. The Atlantic Ocean borders it on the south. Its climate is really unpredictable. It is usually mild, because it is on the ocean, but summer and winter are to their extremes very hot and very cold. Rhode Island is the smallest out of all the 50 states. Its area is 1,214 square miles. It would fit into Alaska 483 times! The current population is 1,009,000 people. The capital is Providence, the biggest city in Rhode Island, and some of the major cities are Newport, Cranston, Warwick, Pawtucket, East Providence and Woonsocket. Rhode Island has many state symbols. The violet is the state flower and the state bird is called the Rhode Island red hen. Did you know that the state tree is the red maple? All Rhode Islanders follow the state motto: "Hope." The state rock is cumberlandite. Rhode Island's real nickname is the "Ocean State" because it is on the Atlantic Ocean ,but recently people gave it the unofficial nickname "Little Rhody" for its' small size. Also, citizens of Rhode Island gave it a new state song: "Rhode Island, Its' For Me!" Rhode Island has three very unique state symbols: A state shell, a state mineral, and a state beverage. The state mineral is bowenite and the state shell is the quahog. Surprisingly, the state drink is none other than--coffee milk! Rhode Island has many different kinds of landforms. Since it is so near the ocean, it has over 400 miles of rocky coastline! It also has many rivers and lakes scattered throughout the land. Rhode Island's highest point is on Jerimoth Hill, only 812 feet above sea level. Its lowest point is the sea level on the Atlantic coast. Over 60% of the state is covered with woodland, and it has nearly 300 ponds, lakes, and reservoirs, with very rocky terrain. There are also many glacial and man-made lakes, and lots of islands within the state. Rhode Island has a very interesting history. It has been very tolerant of different religions from its' statehood, on May 29, 1790. It has also been fiercely independent right from the time Roger Williams started the colony. It was the first colony to declare itself free of Great Britan during the Revolution. It even offered a ready-made "declaration" when Congress finally got around to writing the Declaration of Independence. Rhode Island showed it's' first sign of rebellion to Great Britain when it burned down two British ships: Liberty and Gaspee. Back in the 1770's, Rhode Island built the first naval ship in all of (soon-to -be) America. Also, two famous people who lived during the Revolution: Revolutionary war hero Nathaniel Greene, was born there and Gilbert Stuart, a well-known painter, became famous for his portraits of George Washington. Rhode Island is also a leader in sports. The first national tennis championship and the first US Open Golf Championship was held in Rhode Island. Today, Rhode Island is leading in the Department of Education. Rhode Island has many different sports and activities to play and attend to. There are also a lot of cool places for tourists to visit. It is very active in water sports, since large areas of the state are bordered with water. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, fly-fishing, water-skiing, boating, and white water rafting are only a few of the many water sports that are so popular in the state of Rhode Island. Citizens of Rhode Island and tourists, too love to go hiking and camping. Also, Rhode Islanders play the usual sports: such as basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, ice-skating, and soccer. Some places to visit today: Brown's Track and Field Camp; for runners-in-training, Camp-a-Roo, an overnight summer camp, the Lincoln Woods, named after the President Lincoln, Cliff Walk for serious hikers, Capitol Hill, where one of the biggest and fanciest capitol headquarters lies, and the elaborate, huge, sometimes entirely made of marble, Rhode Island mansions that millionaires used to call summer homes (now, most of the mansions are museums.)! Rhode Island has had many famous sons and daughters. Here are just a few famous people born in Rhode Island. William Anders, born in 1943, was a pilot and astronaut. He was on the crew of Apollo 8 and piloted the first spacecraft to circle the moon. He also set several flight records and was president of a Rhode Island fabric company called Conglomerate Texton Inc. Julia Howe, born in 1819, wrote "The Battle Hymn of The Republic" and spent her long life trying to make the world better. Do you know how long she lived? She died at 91 years! That's a very long time for people living in the early 1900's. Another famous person, Ambrose Burnside was a general in the Civil War (his birth was never recorded) and he fought for the Yankees. No one alive today knows if Burnside was his real last name. He may have been re-named for his sideburns! Next, there is Nicholas Collassanto (his birth was never recorded) played Coach Ernie on the TV show 'Cheers!' He died in 1985. Last but definitely not least, there is Samuel Slater. He brought over the secret of sewing machines to America, founded the first cotton industry in America, and opened the first spinning mill in the U.S., called Slater's Mill. If it weren't for him, what kind of clothes would we wear? Great contributions to manufacturing have been made from Rhode Island. Back in the 1800's, Rhode Island made clothes for Yankee soldiers fighting in the Civil War from its many textile factories. Other things were made in contribution to the Civil War, including machines, paint, and guns. Rhode Islanders also make (sometimes in factories and sometimes by hand) jewelry, mainly rings, gold chains, earrings, and watches. Rhode Island makes metal products, silverware, and Christmas ornaments. Rhode Island also has some printing and publishing companies. There are also factories that make instruments and optical goods, otherwise known as camera lenses and eyeglasses. It specializes in boat and shipbuilding, because it is near the ocean, and also a rather unusual manufacture: artificial flowers (Rhode Island is the biggest manufacturer of artificial flowers in the world)! Rhode Island also grows/raises/plants many foods, animals, and plants. In the botonic area, Rhode Islanders plant many different kinds of shrubs, flowers, and trees. They don't raise many animals, just turkeys and chickens, a cross of Malay and Java roosters from China. Farmers and former citizens don't grow very many fruits, either. They mostly grow only peaches and apples, the greening apple, to be exact. Rhode Islanders do, however, grow many vegetable and dairy products. Some vegetables are sweet corn, tomatoes, beans, cabbage, squash, soybeans, and potatoes, which are Rhode Islands' oldest crop. Also, for their horses, farmers must grow barley and oats. Rhode Island has many varying natural resources. Above ground, there is the fertile land for farming, the trees for wood, and hunting for food. In the water there is fishing for shellfish, cod, sea bass, tuna, flounder, lobsters, clams, swordfish, mackeral, butterfish, scup, and squid (also whaling). Also, there is some mining activity going on below. Sand, granite, limestone, and gravel are mined to pave driveways. This is my report on Rhode Island. I hope you enjoyed it and learned many interesting facts about Rhode Island. Now you can share this knowledge with your friends and family.
