Steve Perry had a genetic hip /bone condition or in other terms known as Arthritis which thousands of americans suffer from weather it be from age or wear and tear on a body which can be very painful and debilitating at times,I hope he is well and knows how much he's loved and adored.

Other than the effects of age and stress on the vocal chords, Steve Perry does not have any vocal problems. He is currently recording a new album that will eventually come out, whenever he feels like it. You can expect to hear him sounding older and a bit more husky - think more like Bryan Adams - but he's definitely still good old (61-year-old) Steve Perry.

No his mother did.

His mother did not. She had a neurological disorder. He was seen in many doctor offices with her and the rumors started to fly. He did not have any cancer at all.
