Steve Perry had a genetic hip /bone condition or in other terms known as Arthritis which thousands of americans suffer from weather it be from age or wear and tear on a body which can be very painful and debilitating at times,I hope he is well and knows how much he's loved and adored.

∙ 14y agoOther than the effects of age and stress on the vocal chords, Steve Perry does not have any vocal problems. He is currently recording a new album that will eventually come out, whenever he feels like it. You can expect to hear him sounding older and a bit more husky - think more like Bryan Adams - but he's definitely still good old (61-year-old) Steve Perry.

His mother did not. She had a neurological disorder. He was seen in many doctor offices with her and the rumors started to fly. He did not have any cancer at all.
