Yes, there might have been some rivalry BUT after researching this I truly believe that the two men respected each other and new they were both talented and SUPER STARS. I am partial towards Steve and a fan BUT always knew that Paul was a real contender. Paul, how can I say, was a true actor with real credits behind him. He was handsome, strong and powerful in his acting. Its just that Steve was truly charismatic a transcending spirit that drew me towards him from the age of 10 all the way to an adulthood; I truly miss him. Hope that where ever he is God has forgiven his many misdeeds as he brought so much excitement, happiness and awe experiences in all of his movies the GOOD and the "BAD" ones like few have William Rosa, Jr.
