With wife Katherine Stauffer he had six children, she lived with her children in Europe and he is said to have commuted each winter

with Anna LaChapelle aka Eugenia LaChapelle he had two daughters, she was an actress and they said they were secretly married during 1901 but no marriage record was found

He died as the second most rich person in the US his fortune of some 350 millions would be valued today in between 3.6 and 55 Billion dollars, it was basically divided by 5, Huguette Clark who is the only living child and four other older brothers... It's reported all of them sold their fathers businesses and live of the money alone... they could be easy still the second richest family with that head start, but not even the 1000th, anyway people ten times richer doesn't have the wealth feeling they had, never have to work and worry like Bill Gates or Warren Buffet, the downside, they probably miss the accomplishment sensation the two cited have.

Current data is only available till 2009. In 2009, the relative worth of $350,000,000.00 from 1925 is:

$4,280,000,000.00using the Consumer Price Index

$3,590,000,000.00using the GDP deflator

$14,900,000,000.00using the unskilled wage

$18,200,000,000.00using the Production Worker Compensation

$20,800,000,000.00using the nominal GDP per capita

$55,100,000,000.00using the relative share of GDP
