Purple. Her flight suits- some different weights for different seasons- were all purple, very striking. These suits were constructed of satin backed with wool (for warmth) and accessorized by high-heeled, lace-up boots, jewelry - Harriet was fond of fancy cloisonné - and topped off with a hood. The suit was one of the very first purpose-designed flight suits and became her trademark.
