In the USA, the following rule applies:
If you are under the age of 17, the law requires a parent or adult age 21 or older to be with the 17 year old through the entire movie. Even a written note of "permission" from an adult (age 21 or over) does not change the law.
Yes, 17 is the legal age for purchasing R-rated movie tickets in the U.S. I just did a Google search for it. The next rating up -- the strongest rating -- is NC-17 (absolutely no one 17 or under is admitted, even with a parent/guardian). So, it seems to follow that 17 would be the age for purchasing R-rated movie tickets.
well if you are talking about the least in one cinema, it would be 12 tickets...a cinema in america had a rapist hiding in it called liam maddison, but in total the lowest amount of tickets sold was 24million.
Yes, 17 is the rule nationwide.
Yes, because you are with someone 18 or older.
I dont usually go to the grove to watch movies but when i went last year to watch harry potter the tickets were 12$. But if u are watching in imax or 3-d prices are slightly greater. I believe 3-d was about 15$ .
It depends if your under 18 you cant sell movies or movie tickets for R rated movies and above.

A 17-year-old can buy 'R' rated tickets. But he would not be allowed to take in a child. Only a parent or guardian can take children into 'R' rated films.
