Bukka White was a delta blues guitarist and singer who was imprisoned at the Mississippi State Penetentary at Parchman Farm. Henry Thomas also was a blues guitarist that was imprisoned.

Johnny Cash sang 'Folsom Prison Blues.' It first appeared on a live album of the same name. When Cash wrote the song, he knew he wanted to perform it live in a prison. He got the opportunity, in 1968, to perform two concerts in prisons.

yes. as i recall there was an album featuring all blues guitarists entitled ATLANTIC BLUES- GIUTAR. it was issued in or around 1987 by Atlantic Records, & it featured Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, etc.
