Dorothy Dandridge, Sidney Poitier, Pearl Bailey, Ruby Dee, Sam Cooke, Sammy Davis Jr., and Harry Belafonte just to name a few, all represented the African American culture in the 50's.

Some music legends of that era were, Sam Cook, Muddy Waters, Bo Didley, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Billy Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and the legendary, Nat King Cole.

We have a rich legacy in these stars and musicians. They all make me so very proud of the history behind my ethninticity.
