Pine martens are restricted to a narrow ecological niche of fragmented, eco-geographical distribution. However beech martens can inhabit a range of habitats from natural, semi natural to even urban areas, therefore taking over pine marten habitat. It is important that beech martens are culled in original pine marten inhabited areas to preserve their habitat.

I think that we children can protect pine martens by creating awareness among other students in our schools. we can also perform a signature campaign with the signs of people who would like to be a part of saving pine martens and we can give speeches and write poems stories etc on how pine martens are endangered and how we should start saving them.
Pine martens are omnivores meaning they eat both plant and animal matter. Hunting for smaller animals such as frogs, squirrels, birds, etc. is part of their nature.
The pine marten is not an endangered species, but is listed as least concern by the IUCN.
