Contrary to popular belief, foxes can be withdrawn, timid creatures, and will not openly attack a human. However, if they find themselves cornered or endangered, they may bite,self defensively. Never try to capture a trapped or cornered fox, but make an easy escape route for them.
In some parts of the world, foxes can be kept as pets and are apparently very easy trained and good companions to have.
