In the novels yes, their teasing, fighting and obvious sexual tension/attraction has finally evolved into a relationship. I believe it was in 'Nick of time' that they first had sex and then went at it multiple times in a day, in crazy places like storage closets and stuff too XD My memory is fuzzy because I haven't read the novels in a while but I remember Kurz being upset and confiding in Sousuke that he wasn't sure Melissa loved him. Without giving any plot spoilers I'll just say that she does love him of course and at the end I remember Tessa was considering going to spend time with Melissa but then remembered she would most likely be with Kurz lol :D So yeah, they're FINALLY an item :)
