Prior to landing the role of Ivy Pepper in FOX's "Gotham," you appeared in an episode of "Orange is the New Black" as Young Piper. What was that experience like?

Working on Orange Is The New Black was such a great experience! Jodie Foster was the director, which was amazing! I am so proud to have been a part of it and to play Young Piper.

What kind of research went into preparing for your role as Ivy, or were you familiar with her character before?

I was familiar with the character of Poison Ivy as I have 4 brothers, and we are all very into Batman! We have watched all the movies and Cartoons and play Batman in the backyard!

What's your favorite part about playing Ivy?

My favorite part about playing Ivy is she is a really mysterious and cool character and the cast is great. I really enjoy working with everyone!

In 2015 we can look forward to seeing you co-star alongside Julia Stiles and Glenn Close in "The Great Gilly Hopkins." What can you tell us about the movie?

The Great Gilly Hopkins is a wonderful family film with a fantastic cast! It's about a girl named Gilly who is stuck in the foster system as she has no parents and is shuffled around from home to home until she finds a special place where she tries to fit in. I play an annoyingly chatty and happy girl named Agnes.

If you could star in a movie with any celebrity you haven't acted with already, whom would you choose and why?

I don't really have a dream celebrity to work with. I admire a ton of actors and am thrilled to work with anyone if it's a good project!

You started acting when you were only 4 years old! How did you get into acting at such a young age? Whose idea was it?

My Mom did some commercials when she was a child and had a great experience and really enjoyed it, and my older brothers were doing it, so of course I wanted to do it too!

What do you like to do when you have time off from acting?

When I am not acting I play a lot of sports...I am on a soccer team, I play tennis, and Golf with my family. I also just started doing Jiu Jitsu. I also love cooking, and fashion.

How do you keep up-to-date with your schoolwork?

I am very lucky that my school has been very supportive of my career. When I am shooting I am tutored on set and the tutor and I keep in touch with my teachers via computer. When I am done shooting I jump right back into school!

I really can't say without giving anything away!

Did you read any Batman comics prior to shooting "Gotham"?

Yes, My Mother bought me the very first comic that Poison Ivy was introduced in.
