Yes , eventually it does rust but it takes a long time, in normal weather conditions, if you subject it to extreme conditions, it does not last as long, but still lasts quite a bit longer than normal steel.
So eventually you get rust; how can you deal with that and not get it spreading?

Because iron reacts with oxygen to form Fe2O3. Galvanized metal is a metal that is coated with a layer of zinc. As zinc oxidizes and reacts with gases in the atmosphere it will eventually form a protective coating of zinc carbonate that will protect both the zinc and the iron beneath it. T
Galvanizing steel with a more reactive metal like zinc helps because it reacts with air or water by losing it's electrons instead of steel and so prevents steel from rusting.....hope that helped XD
A galvanized nail has a rust-proof coating of tin, however, that coating can get scratched, in which case the iron is slightly exposed and can begin to rust. Eventually even galvanized nails rust, but they do last longer than the non-galvanized variety.
I've read a lot of misinformation on the web, but this is the first time anyone has claimed that tin is used for galvanizing nails. It is zinc that coats a galvanized nail. The rest is correct.
This depends on the thickness of the steel and the galv - galvanisation is the process of adding a zinc layer to the outside of the steel to protect it from the elements. On average it would be expected to last 30years +, although some sources say upto 70years before the zinc is worn away
If the metal has been galvanized, it is coated with zinc, which will rust before iron because zinc is more reactive than iron. Once the zinc is gone, then the iron will begin to rust. So, the galvanization process extends the life of something mostly made of iron.
NO it doesn't from what I know
Actually it does but its zinc coating makes it take longer zinc is to protect it without the zinc it would instantly rust
Yes, after the corrosion of the sacrificial zinc plate (white rust) in a given localized area of the sheet that area will then begin to red rust (iron corrosion).
Yes. Galvanising is coating the steel with a substance that is less prone to corrosion. Usually zinc. Grinding would remove the zinc and expose the steel to the atmosphere.
density of galvanized steel 7850kg/m3
Answer These are different descriptions for a part. Tubular Steel describes the shape. Steel can be ordered in different sizes and shapes and material properties. Tubular Steel is one type of shape and the process for making the tube will cause the properties for that steel to be slightly different. Galvanized Steel describes a type of finish that protects the steel from corrosion. This process alters the surface of the steel that keeps it protected and thus can be used for construction where it is exposed to the elements. I'm sure you can order a steel tube that has a galvanized finish. Many chain-link fences are made from galvanized steel, including the round posts. Custermen
A galvanized iron is similar to steel; it is material that composed of cold-rolled and hot-dip galvanized mild steel. It has 7850 kilograms per cubic meter density same as a steel.
galvanized metal is a silvery gray colour which also has a pattern on it.
True stainless steel will not rust.
