Yes Choose "Insert > Symbol" and look for the character you want (you may have to select another font to find it. A font called Marlett which Windows instlls has one) If you do not have a system or version of Word that supports Unicode (the computer I an on right now does not) then that is the only one I can find. After finished typing it out in the desired font etc., double click on the layer the font is on. A window will pop up. In the window, on the left "drop shadow" is listed.
