i am a union pipefitter. i have worked in some very bad places. i once was standing in the dry well in a nuclear plant in Spain . the portugese maintenance crew was rigging a 20 ton steel containment door and lost it. i was gathering valves from a crate and found the one i needed. once i found the one that i needed i took two steps and the wall fell blowing my eardrums out and throwing me from my feet cruhing the crate i was searching through. wake up call. 21 yrs old away from home in spain and 3 feet from my life ending....scary. after that i came home and took a job in a oil yard where a valve crew opened up the wrong valve during a movement letting 20000 gallons of gas a minute out of an open line that we were welding on. this was the biggest fire i have ever seen and the scariest moment of my life. made me think twice about wher i was working.
