Karl Marx was a prolific writer. His most famous works are the Communist Manifesto and various additions of Das Kapital. Most of his books dealt with the economical side of history or in "pure economic science". This would include his work called Political Economy. He also tackled other subjects and yes, wrote them in terms of class struggle and the economic sciences behind the history of mankind. He wrote The Civil War in France as one historical treatise. Marx was a "political philosopher" and borrowed ideas from Hegel and Hegel's ideas of thesis, antithesis and synthesis. As a philosopher he developed dialectical materialism, which was the "science" behind his economic and political ideas. He had little respect for most of the philosophers before him. Thus he wrote The Poverty of Philosophy.

In totality he authored approximately 30 or more books that always had a scientific socialist theme.

How did Karl Marx view consumption?

Karl Marx attempted to refine the economic term of consumption. He began his views on this by stating that consumption produces production. Additionally, Marx added that consumption produces production in two ways:* A product becomes a real product only through consumption; and* Consumption creates the need for new production. As an aside, Marx's economic and political ideas were not commonly accepted by economic and political thinkers of his day in the middle of the nineteenth century.

What were the two types of a commodity that were defined by Karl Marx?

According to Karl Marx, the bourgeois accumulated its wealth in a wide spectrum of commodities. Marx believed that to simplify this concept, it's more informative to view all of the commodities owned by the wealthy classes as one , instead of analyzing them all. Broken down to its basic form, a commodity is comprised of a "use-value" commodity and a "exchange- value" commodity.

What economic system did Karl Marx develop?

Socialism/Communism. They`re the same thing.Answer:Socialism and Communism are not the same thing. Socialism is a form of government. Communism is a form of economics.Marx didn't actually develop either of these two notions, but simply studied them, added to them, articulated them and gained support for them. The notions of communism and socialism have been around for eons and were collectively developed over the course of human history.Karl Marx is frequently called "The Father of Communism" because of his contributions to Communist thought and his ability to form a social movement around those ideals. He did not invent the concept however, though he did do a great deal to improve and help evolve the system.

Is competition good or bad for consumers?

It depends. Two political philosophers, Adam Smith and Karl Marx, had differing opinions on this matter. Adam Smith was the founder of capitalism and believed in what he called "the Invisible Hand". This meant that competition would eventually result in innovation as one group tried to beat the other and would ultimately further society's interests. Karl Marx is the father of communism and believed that competition, and eventually capitalism, would lead to the exploitation of the working class. Not to mention it causes stress and "arms races" where people would be too obsessed with victory or beating the other person at something. Look up the "tragedy of the commons" from economics.
