im i going to receive a stimulus check for 2013
Starting Thursday, millions of grandparents and retirees will see a $250 raise to their usual Social Security funds. The months long wait for stimulus payments for seniors, as part of the stimulus bill passed February, is now over, CNN reports. Nearly 55 million seniors and retirees will receive the $250 one-time payment between now and June 4, 2009. Most of the checks have been sent out this week. (May 11, 2009). Payment will either be received as a separate check, in addition to Social Security payments, or appear in accounts as a direct deposit.
No such thing
not everyone. No basically it is for people who didn't get the last one. According to the AARP website, the stimulus payments of $250 per person or $500 per couple to retirees and other Social Security beneficiaries will be sent out in May. If you normally receive your Social Security payments by mail, you will receive a paper check in the mail and if you normally have your funds direct deposited, your payment will be transmitted electronically to you bank account.
There will (or maybe is one). It is a term for any economic package the Feds are passing to fund economic recovery....it does not have anything to do, or mention, any payments to individuals though. In Australia the Federal Labour Government only plans to assist people who already receive a livable wage, or students receiving Austudy/Abstudy, & not the unemployed who really are on the lowest income. And I always thought Labour stood up for the real battlers of this great nation. What a joke!!.... Even people earning up to $100,000 per year are entitled to a $900 bonus, but not people receiving less than $20,000 per year. Go Figure!!! Kevin Rudd does nothing to financially assist people on Centrelink's Newstart Allowance, but you can bet he will raise the payments as soon as workers start losing ther jobs due to the economic downturn, cause people will soon realise how little the unemployed receive. Pensioners received a $1450 bonus in December 2008 & they're already talking about giving them a $35 per week pay rise. What about the long term unemployed? Surely they deserve a break for a change instead off handouts to those poor unfortunate people who have jobs & have been living on $95,000 a year. Get it right Labour, look after the people who really do need it instead of playing politics. I, for one, will never vote Labour again. I hear the Commies are re-entering a party after 30 odd years of absence from Australian politics. Bring on the Reds....Can't get any worse, can it?

They will receive a payment, but the details of how and when it will be done have not been worked out yet.
At this time no stimulus check available for the year 2010.

YES is the correct answer. Anyone and everyone who makes less than $77,000.00 annually gets one. With the exception of the illegal undocumented. If you are in the U.S. on a Work Visa, you get a check for $1200.00. The Federal Government really is making sure everyone is assisted. This also includes the homeless who can obtain their funds via a web portal using local facilities. That already established recipients of Social Security retirement, disabled or SSI, that are currently enrolled with the direct deposit option, will receive their stimulus funds first. PS: Even if you make over $77,000 annually you will receive a check. The amount over 77 is calculated by a simple formula. ALSO for each dependant you have, you will receive an additional $500 per dependeant.

are we getting a second stimulus check before christmas
The person who is going to receive the funds from the check.
A combo of a political, tax, economic and social question....your guess is as good as anyones. None is planned.Considering this rebate seems to have worked very poorly, was problem ridden and hard to administer...and may have actually generated a good deal of ill-will toward the politicians....it would seem unlikely. It is not even discussed as a prtion of any of the next recvery plans...making it even more unlikely. [Update] There may not be more stimulus checks, but there will be more tax credits. In Obama's 2010 budget (which looks forward to the next ten years) there are plans to extend to 2013, the "Making Work Pay" $400/$800 tax cut for workers, originally enacted as part of the economic stimulus plan. It also seeks to make permanent the expansion of the child tax credit and the newly enlarged college credit now called the American Opportunity Tax Credit ------------------------------------------------------ A bit more details found here: (Link moved to proper location).
On March 30, the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced that the payments will start going out in the next three weeks. If the IRS has your direct deposit information on file (as it does for roughly half the stimulus recipients), that time frame is likely accurate. Paper checks, however, will take longer. The IRS has a lot more information about how to make sure you get your payment in a timely manner here. Some precedents for reference: Under a new tax cut in 2001, the IRS took six weeks to start sending out rebate checks, and after a 2008 stimulus package was signed into law, checks weren’t sent out for three months.
