I just saw on CNN International yesterday that the Catholics are performing them everyday now and have a long list of scheduled appointments to have this done in Italy every single day of the year, even holidays. They also need more Priests trained apparently, since they just started doing them again. But Christians can do them anytime anywhere. ive done it myself on 1/1/09

There may be earlier ones recorded, but the earliest exorcism which this contributor has heard of would be Christ's exorcism of a demon which called itself "Legion, for we are many." Christ exorcised Legion into a herd of pigs which then ran over a cliff. Cannot remember chapter & verse, but this exorcism is from the Gospel of Luke. In the present timeline, this exorcism would be from the 1st Century AD, of course.
