well first of all you need to know all of the specifics in the problem, like if there is a given point in between the two endpoints of the upper and lower ( or side to side) lines to be the starting and finishing points of the ogee curve. PT A ------------------------

X given pt

--------------------
PT B

  1. Turn on your DYN function ( F 12)
  2. start a circle command using the 3p option
  3. go to point A and choose this as your first point
  4. go to X and choose this as your second point
  5. then move the cursor back over Pt A to highlight it, this will give you a dotted line move in a -90 direction until you get the other dotted line from X.
  6. This is your radius you should see it in your DYN read out.
  7. Continue by multiplying the radius by 2 to get the diameter
  8. Type this into the DYN read out and hit enter
  9. You should have a circle that is tangent to point A and intersecting X
  10. Repeat these steps with PT B instead of A.
  11. Trim away the excess and the center where they both intersect at X will smoothly transition into a nice ogee curve

I hope this was explained well enough. Good luck and have fun.
